SPATEX 2008 A Success - Quality visitors and brisk business report the exhibitors

Business was reported as being brisk by exhibitors at SPATEX 08, the exhibition for professionals in the pool, spa and sauna industry.  Over 2000 visitors attended the show, many choosing to spend two or three days browsing the 126+ stands.

The Workshop and Demonstration Programme proved very popular, attracting 396 attendees - the highest number to date.  The Leisure Operator’s Day was a resounding success with 53 delegates, a significant increase over 2007 figures.  Winners of the SPATEX Challenge were Patrick Thorpe and Luke Bennett, who have proved themselves to be the fastest pool fitters in the industry.

Speaking to many of the exhibitors, the mood seems to be extremely buoyant as a result of the show with comments including:

HWP: “This is the second time we have been to SPATEX and the quality of visitor this year was impressive, with many people wanting in-depth discussions on the stand.  We introduced a replacement parts catalogue at the show and the demand was so high, we ran out by Tuesday morning!”

Golden Coast: “Setting up this year was one of the easiest processes ever thanks to Michelle and her team. Despite the lower attendance, SPATEX was once again a huge success for Golden Coast providing us with a platform to launch a number of new products and initiatives to the trade.”

Aquatrol: We had five key targets we wanted to see at the show and they were all there on the Sunday.  We took plenty of orders during SPATEX and achieved every one of our goals, thanks to the quality of the visitor.”
